INFORMATION AND PRICES FOR FERRY-BOAT SERVICES
Prices for transportation of vehicles on a ferry-boat are based on the chosen route and vehicle classification (see prices below).
For residents of Lido and Pellestrina and for companies based in the two locations, passes are available for 10 or 40 one-way trips.
Vehicles used for transporting people with reduced mobility, at the request of the concerned party and under the conditions established by the City Council, are entitled to the same discounts as the concessionary pass for residents of Lido and Pellestrina to transport their vehicles by ferry-boat.
There are two different passes for routes 11 (Alberoni / Santa Maria del Mare) or 17 (Tronchetto / Lido or Lido / Punta Sabbioni):
- for residents of Pellestrina or Lido. Companies with business offices in Pellestrina or Lido are treated as "residents".
- residents of Pellestrina only, with passes for lines 11 + 17. Companies with business offices in Pellestrina are treated as “residents”.
Annual passes are also available for users who do not reside in Lido and Pellestrina. These passes are limited to vehicles with a total dead weight of up to 35 quintals (the rates are shown below).
To obtain a concessionary pass for route 17, users must go to the agencies of Lido S. Maria Elisabetta or Tronchetto with the following documentation:
- original and a photocopy of the authorization issued by the Directorate of Mobility and Transport of the Municipality of Venice (valid for two years);
- original and photocopy of the Carta di Circolazione, which certifies the vehicle number plate and vehicle class.
All passes can be renewed at the ticket office by showing the aforementioned authorization issued by the Municipality and original of the Carta di Circolazione.
To obtain a concessionary pass for routes 11 or 11 + 17, users should:
- collect an Imob Pass (free and valid for two years) from the agencies at Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta or Tronchetto. To get an Imob Pass, complete the "Imob Pass" application form, send it to the ticket office and make sure you have the following documents: authorization issued by the Directorate of Mobility and Transport of the Municipality of Venice and a photocopy thereof; original + photocopy of the Carta di Circolazione, certifying the vehicle number plate and vehicle class;
- show the Imob Pass for each pass renewal of routes 11 or 11+17;
- upload the electronic pass of line 11 on the Imob Pass and validate it at each step. Keep the Imob Pass on board for route 11+17 and have it available for inspection. Should there be a change in the vehicle number plate, users must have a new permit issued by the Municipality of Venice, which should be given to the ticket office along with a photocopy to start the new procedure and recover the remaining journeys.
It is advised to check the category and classification of your vehicle, as stipulated in Article 47 of Italian Legislative Decree dated April 30 1992, number 285
