How to buy
On-line from www.avmspa.it (ztl bus section) or, from www.ztlbusvenezia.avmspa.it with payment using credit card or deposit account.
Tariffs
Pass costs vary according to final destination (Mainland/Lido or Venice-Tronchetto).
Tariffs indicated on the summary table are valid valid until 11.59pm from moment of entry in limited traffic zone for buses ZTL BUS (with limitations of access to Venice for some types of pass) with the exception of some special passes valid for specified time period of transfer (3 or 10 hours maximum), excluding specific exceptions mentioned on special passes, and hotel passes valid until 7.00pm of the day after the pass issue, or, however the last overnight stay in case of multi-day pass.
Types of passes available on-line purchases:
• Ordinary pass (valid until 11:59 p.m., max 4 entries)
• Hotel pass (valid until 7:00 p.m. on the following day, max 4 entries)
• Minibus pass (valid until 11:59 p.m., max 4 entries)
• School trip pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Port exemption pass (valid for 10 hours)
• Airport-station exemption pass (valid for 3 or 10 hours)
• Artistic/sports groups exemption pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Political and trade union events exemption pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Conferences and events exemption pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Residents' exemption pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Atypical services pass (valid for 3 hours)
• Regional Law 25/98 services pass (valid for 3 hours)
• Cultural activities on the mainland pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Visits to sites of public interest on the mainland pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• National/International routes pass (valid for 3 hours)
• Garage pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• People with disabilities pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
• Weddings or funerals pass (valid until 11:59 p.m.)
Uncompleted requests will not be accepted
All requests must be complete; the booking system will demand completion. Transmitting required documents is obligatory and must be done according to the type of pass requested.
Il cliente è tenuto a trasmettere obbligatoriamente anche gli allegati che il sistema gli chiederà di produrre a seconda della tipologia di pass prescelto.
Il pass rilasciato dal sistema di emissione on line viene generato sulla base di quanto dichiarato dall’operatore ai sensi degli artt. 46 e 47 del DPR 28 dicembre 2000, n. 445.
Clients are required to submit all attachments that the system requests, depending on the type of pass selected.
The pass issued by the online system is generated based on the declarations made by the operator in compliance with Articles 46 and 47 of Italian Presidential Decree No. 445 of December 28 2000.
The operator assumes full responsibility for any false declarations or missing documentation, including for the scope of the penalties established by the Italian Criminal Code and all the special laws concerning the falsification of documents, under the prescriptions of Article 76 of Italian Presidential Decree No. 445 of December 28 2000.
AVM reserves the right to verify the documentation submitted by the operator and request additional information, even after the pass has become valid.
If the operator fails to provide the correct documentation within the specified deadlines, AVM is entitled to cancel the pass issued by the online system, report the violation to the Local Police of the Municipality of Venice for the subsequent issuance of an administrative penalty, and issue the verification reports under the terms of the relevant tariff regulations in force.
Collecting/printing purchased passes
If purchased online, the pass is immediately available in the customer area
It is impossible to change/modify date, arrival time, and pass type. These particulars required at the time of booking cannot be changed.
Changing the licence plate on the pass
The licence plate (and, if needed, the corresponding environmental category/Euro engine class) can only be changed until the system detects that the pass has been printed.
Changing only the licence plate does not involve any extra charge.
However, changing the environmental category/Euro engine class from a higher to a lower one requires payment of the tariff difference. No refund is provided in the opposite case.
Validity
The validity period is printed on the pass. Failure / lack to use the pass means expiry of any / all rights
Method of use
The pass must be well visible/exposed on the bus windscreen as foreseen in ministerial order O.D n.140 of 11th March 2008. Failure to comply with the above order i.e. pass not being properly exposed- will involve the filing of a report.
Refund
An 80% Refund will be considered with a good reason in situations of advance payment by credit card or deposit account for online purchase of pass, and if the pass has not been yet printed. However, all this can only be done no more than 60 days after the date of entry/arrival.
There will be no refunds for passes that are already printed or issued.
Invoice
An invoice will not be issued for the sale of a pass.
Blocked Tariffs
Tariffs confirmed at the moment of purchase are not subject to variations
Responsibility
AVM S.p.A will not be held liable for any inconveniences/problems due to a possible malfunction of the online ticketing sales system.
