GT BY CITROEN

The Carnival 2010 represented the ideal showcase for Citroen to introduce the show car GT, world preview realized through an exclusive défilée of the car on the waters of Canal Grande. Citroen and the communication agency Noblesse Oblige chose Venice and its Carnival as the perfect context for a so important international event, accompanying it with a worldwide communication campaign. Venezia Marketing & Eventi has been their partner for the event, participating in the production, allowing them to use the unique location of the Canal Grande and contributing to the promotion of the event including the events in the official program of the Carnival "Sensation 2010."

GTbyCitroen is the last prototype conceived by Créative Technologie of Citroen: a new interpretation of the GT vehicle that invites to the future, been born thanks to the collaboration with Polyphony (creator of the simulation game "Gran Tourism 5" for Playstation3), characterized by "wings of gull" door opening, sporty cabin, hood with wide air vents, incisive headlighths with leds.

The event took place on the 8th of February 2010, when the car was set on an a branded floating pontoon to unthread along the whole Canal Grande and the basin of San Marco, among lights, colors, masks and sounds. The event ended with a cocktail at Palazzina Grassi (design hotel created by Philippe Starck), where guests could admire this jewel of technology and design, surrounded by the "Marie" (finalists of the typical carnival beauty contest, dressed in Renaissance costumes), in a perfect match between modernity and tradition.
